Day 1: Casablanca > Rabat > Fes [290 Km]
We begin our Morocco itinerary 6 days from the city of Casablanca, the economic center of Morocco and its largest city. Our first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, considered one of the most prominent religious landmarks in Africa, thanks to its towering minaret that reaches a height of 210 meters and its architectural details handcrafted from marble and carved wood.
After the visit, we head toward Rabat, the political capital of Morocco, to explore its historical landmarks such as the Hassan Tower, which represents the remains of a project that has remained unfinished since the 12th century, and the Mohammed V Mausoleum, a national monument that houses the tombs of the late king and his two sons. We also visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, a historical fortress overlooking the Bou Regreg River and the ocean, dating back to the Almoravid period.
In the afternoon, we continue on to the city of Fes, one of the oldest Islamic cities in North Africa, where we stay in a traditional riad inside the old medina in preparation for a new day of discovery.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Fes with Local Guide
On the second day of the Morocco 6 day itinerary, we dedicate a full day to exploring the city of Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco and a historical center of knowledge, religion, and traditional crafts. We begin our tour in the Old Medina (Fes el Bali), which is considered one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
We start by exploring Al-Qarawiyyin University, founded in 859 AD, and regarded as the oldest continuously operating university in the world. We also visit Bou Inania Madrasa, a unique example of Marinid architecture, with its finely carved wooden and stucco decorations. We stop at Nejjarine Square to visit the Traditional Carpentry Museum, where we discover the tools and techniques of ancient craftsmen.
We walk through the narrow alleys filled with traditional souks (markets), where leather, copper, textiles, oils, and perfumes are displayed. We visit the Chouara Tannery, one of the oldest leather tanning sites, where we watch the process of natural leather production in the traditional way from viewing balconies above.
In the afternoon, we visit Bab Boujloud Gate, known for its blue and green tilework, and stroll through the newer parts of the city to observe the contrast between old and new Fes. In the evening, we return to the traditional riad to rest and prepare for the third day of the trip.

After a short stop for photos and rest, we continue the trip to the cedar forests near the city of Azrou, where we take time to walk and observe wild Barbary macaque monkeys living freely in the forest.

As sunset approaches, we arrive in Merzouga, where we meet the camel guide to begin a tour through the sand dunes on camelback. The tour lasts about one to one and a half hours, with a stop to watch the sunset. Upon arrival at the desert camp, we are welcomed with Saharan tea and sweets, then served a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner.

After that, we head to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can explore the ancient alleys and climb to the top to enjoy a panoramic view of the nearby valley.
